Bagnoli Architects for Kariton (Chinatown)
At Kariton (Melbourne), a business inspired by the gelato carts of the Philippines, the exposed decrepit shell of the building is overlaid with slick linearity and reflective surfaces. The design approach references Manila, a rich and ramshackle centre comprised of a complex web of historical and contemporary layers.
