This project is a restrained and well-considered design that stands out in a visually competitive shopping mall environment, showcasing the product and providing insight into the process. Vic’s Meat, Chatswood Chase responds to its purpose by enhancing the brand and successfully showcasing and honouring the tradition of the butcher’s craft through a contemporary expression. The jury agreed that its bold and highly distinctive design redefines the everyday butcher shop, elevating the brand experience with clarity and confidence, while being engaging and accessible. A strong use of colour and materiality boosts its visual identity and the interface with the mall has been designed to feel both welcoming and playful, creating an inviting and dynamic retail experience.
