Jury Citation

Brahman Perera’s beautiful entries in this year’s Awards really impressed the judges, making the Melbourne-based designer a very worthy recipient. His narratives and creative process are genuinely heartfelt and this engages not only his clients, but all who experience his designs across residential, hospitality, workplace and multi-residential. He has a maturity that demonstrates strong design principles and an individual style that shows both flair and restraint. His projects are rich and thoughtful and the jury thinks he has great potential to contribute to the advancement of Australian interior design, which they believe he will fully achieve.
