A small almost-concealed bar in a historic building playing with opposites: a public bar feeling familiarly of home and hearth; conceived as a ‘grand room’, yet small and cosy; cupped snugly into a roof cavity yet opened to the sky; capturing the spirit of two historic women in Sydney’s underworld.
