Shortlist: Public Design
Studio Hollenstein in association with Stewart Architecture for Green Square Library and Plaza
Green Square Library is more interior than exterior, with the building proper occupying the space below the public plaza. Largely underground, the interior is bright, playful and domestic, offering the community an ‘urban living room’ that is flexible and inviting, with light filtering into the building from multiple directions.
