Deicke Richards for Stella Maris Catholic Church, Maroochydore
The Stella Maris Catholic Church responds expressively to its subtropical setting. Its cool interior explores a traditional Catholic philosophy of contrasts — light and dark, open and compressed space, inside and out. A reserved palette of concrete, ply and timber is the backdrop to bespoke lighting, furniture and sanctuary items.
