Shortlist: Installation Design
Fold Theory, Jyll Bradley with Nagan Johnson Architects and Thylacine for City of Trees
Three cardboard spirals arrived flat-packed and were assembled without tools or adhesives. Commissioned by the Centenary of Canberra, the design supported sound installations by artist Jyll Bradley by creating private spaces for listening and contemplation. After three months, the enclosures were unfolded, stored, and re-erected for an arts festival.
